Vaishno Devi Academy was founded in 2002 by Mr. Apurba Kumar Saha, with Mrs. Amita Ray as the Associate Founder. The school began its journey with just four students, driven by a vision to provide quality education and holistic development. The Pre-Primary and Primary Section (Play Group to Class IV) operates under the name Vaishno Devi Academy.
The Secondary Section (Class V onwards) is recognized as Vaishno Devi Academy (High School).

From humble beginnings to inspiring milestones, the journey of Vaishno Devi Academy High School is a story of vision, determination, and excellence. The school was established on 21st April 2002 at Krishnapur, Kolkata by the visionary leadership of Mr. Apurba Kumar Saha, with the support of his wife Mrs. Shima Rani Saha.
It began with only four students in the ground floor of a multi-storied building near 7 No. Tank Kheya Ghat. The initial years were marked by challenges and hard work, but the school grew rapidly through sheer dedication and belief in its mission.
To accommodate growing demand and to enhance facilities, the foundation stone of a six-storeyed building near 206 Kheya Ghat was laid on 18th April 2005, and the school moved into the new premises in April 2007. This expansion allowed the school to start with pre-primary, primary, and middle school sections, and significantly broaden its academic, cultural, and extracurricular offerings.
Today, Vaishno Devi Academy High School stands as a respected institution in the Rajarhat region, admired for its dedication to academic integrity and holistic development.
